Newbridge Networks was an Ottawa, Ontario, Canada company founded by Welsh-Canadian entrepreneur Sir Terry Matthews. It was founded in 1986 to create data and voice networking products after Matthews was forced out of his original company Mitel. According to Matthews, he saw that data networking would grow far faster than voice networking, and he had wanted to take Mitel in much the same direction, but the 'risk-averse' British Telecom-dominated Mitel board refused and effectively ousted him. The name Newbridge Networks comes from Sir Terry Matthews' home town of Newbridge in south Wales.
An angry former employee said “Don't even waste your time or talent with Newbridge Networks, they will take your book of business right from under you. Management is a Scam, and if you decide to leave they will take your clients from you. Very bad company to be with."

Patient Account Representative (Former Employee) says"There is a reason why there are so many bad reviews for this hospital and why this postion is ALWAYS posted. It is HORRIBLE!!. Management is the worst I've ever encountered.They do nothing but harrass and abuse their workers and that's why they are constantly short staffed, I was hoping the new owners (it was formally Bergen Regional Medical Center), would have cleaned it up, but over a year later and nothing has changed in Building 10. The director and manager in building 10 are unprofessional bullies, who practice in whisper campaigns against their employees. They speak and treat you like a criminal. They are not interested in helping the department move forward, only interested in deflecting and causing drama among the staff.. Which is why in the short, miserable time employed there, there were well over 20 employees who came and went in this departament, The remaining staff is miserable everyday. It's like working in a dungeon.It's a cold, dark room and your every move is monitored, You are not allowed to speak or have a radio, there is no break room and there are bugs, huge disgusting bugs throught out the building. How they haven't been sued or visited by the Labor Dept or the Health Dept yet over their ways is amazing. Human Resources does nothing to help and the Union does absolutely nothing except collect their dues. Don't be fooled by the starting pay, it's just a trap, It;s the only way they can get anyone to apply. Stay clear of building 10. It's an old, outdated building ran by old outdated women. Medical Technologist, Generalist (Current Employee) says"The workers are great and knowledgeable but upper management is extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. They are understaffed and expect per diem employees to take on full time hours to pick up the slack. If you say no, you are threatened with a call to hr to discuss your status. It’s needed to get all communication with management in writing or they will twist your words to meet their needs. Supervisors don’t even know how to operate their analyzers. They are unionized so the pay is not great when compared to other labs in the area. So personally the politics is not worth a couple of dollars. Cons: Management. Pay"

It does not matter how much you know, it who you know. That is the only way you would advance your career but it will take a very long time before they promote you. I have see people trying to advance their careers for more than 10 years."

Worked here for nearly a decade though management change from BRMC. Didn't think it could get worse but new management came in, pay stayed stagnant for almost a year while new Administration came in and performed expensive renovations on their offices , each office looks like a bedroom in a home vs a professional office setting. This includes couches, pillows, paintings, etc. Money is being wasted while staff is underpaid, overworked and not appreciated. All this while mgmt is posting on social media on all these various outings, award ceremonies and more. If you like your sanity, look elsewhere for work. Don't work here."
